Three years later, he was a finalist at the « Mercuriades », the most prestigious business competition organized by the « Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec ». Not to mention that he was part of the Victoriaville Tigres organization, a hockey team of the LHJMQ league, for over a decade.
He became a member of the National Assembly of Quebec in December 2016, being elected for the first time in a by-election. He would be re-elected two more times, in the 2018 election, when he received 62% of the votes and was appointed Chief Government Whip, and in 2022, once again obtaining the confidence of the Prime Minister and retaining his position as Whip for this 43rd legislature.
